About Us

Interamerican Foods, Inc. (IQF) was founded in 1985, but the company’s roots date back to the 1950s when our founder spent his summers in the agricultural communities of northern Mexico with his grandparents. There, he learned Spanish and a deep appreciation for Mexican history and culture. Later, he moved to the fertile valleys of central Mexico where he forged relationships in the Mexican strawberry industry that would lay the foundation for IQF to become one of North America’s most trusted sources of high-quality frozen fruits and vegetables.

Building on that foundation, each member of IQF’s management team has spent years living and working in Latin America, from Mexico to Argentina, developing long-standing relationships with farmers and processors who share IQF’s vision of supplying the world with delicious and healthy frozen fruits and vegetables.

These relationships have been strengthened by a deep understanding and respect for different cultures and customs and a shared common commitment to supplying manufacturers, distributors and retailers with high-quality, safe frozen food.

Through the years, IQF’s supply base has expanded to include state-of-the-art facilities across four continents and the list of frozen fruits and vegetables we offer continues to grow. The second generation of leadership is now guiding the company. Yet, though all these changes, IQF remains committed to its core values of developing long-term, mutually-beneficial relationships with both customers and suppliers, based on integrity, consistency and quality.
